THERMEF: 100% Saturated D.M.D. laminate Class
F insulation (155°C). Thermef is a D.M.D. laminate (polyester non woven fibermat/polyester film/polyester non woven fibermat), that is 100% saturated with class H resins to obtain thermal index 155°C according to A.S.T.M. D-1830. The resin is hot-cured so that it is permanent and non melting. The polyester film is heat-stabilized to minimize shrinkage at 150°C.

Polimex
POLIMEX: Polyester film/Nomex laminates
Class F insulation (155°C).
Polyester film is laminated to one or two layers of Nomex paper to obtain class F laminates. High temperature adhesive are used and laminates can be made in different combinations..
Polyester film can be laminated to one
or more different flexible substrates, e.g. plastic films, papers, fabric, metal foils,
etc., thus obtaining composite materials having outstanding technical qualities, for
example:
greater tensile strenght and
elongation
improved tear strength (initial and propagating)
increased thermal index from class
130°C (B) to class 155°C (F)
greater adhesion of impregnating
resins
improved heat dissipation
prevention of polyester oxydation
higher insulation properties
resulting in true cost
reduction benefits
Polipress
LP COMPOSITE: pressboard-polyester film lamination
Class B insulation (130°C).
LP Composite is a lamination of
polyester film 23 or 50 microns thick (1 or 2 mils), laminated to one or two layers of
prssboard paper of varying thickness. When laminated to polyester film, pressboard papers
have good tear resistance and exellent flexibility along with good dielectric properties
in conditions of high humidity.
Politrix is produced by laminating
polyester film between two layers of kraft paper, thus giving outstanding electrical and
mechanical properties, plus the protection of the polyester film from oxydation. This
makes Politrix suitable for insulation in low and medium tension
electrical machines. Politrix can be easily impregnated and has good tear
strength.
D.M.D. is produced by laminating
polyester film to two outer layers of polyester non-woven fibermat. The lamination process
is made with a heat resistant adhsive system which encloses and protects the film at
elevated temperature and gives 70% saturation. Once impregnated the material is thermally
upgraded dependant on the type of resin used.
